New Vista Tech Academy leverages New Vista School’s best-in-class methodology to help individuals with high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and similar learning difficulties successfully transition to post-secondary education and employment. The Academy is designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing career and educational goals related to the technology industry. Students obtain marketable skills that give them a competitive employment advantage, and earn college credits transferrable to Saddleback College.
New Vista Tech Academy gives students an opportunity to leverage their strengths and interests to develop career goals that will help them live the life they desire. This unique pilot program, funded through grants from the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) and the McBeth Foundation, was developed in 2015 and we are currently training our first group of students.
Each student receives help in transitioning to additional education, an internship or a job, upon completion of individual goals. Students earn Certificates of Completion and college credits for designated courses. For more information on college credits, please visit Transition Process for Students from Saddleback College.
