Overview

These classes provide college credit and/or certificates through Saddleback College. The goal for each student is to obtain marketable skill sets that lead to employment and additional post-secondary education.

So students have two options: A Saddleback College Associates Degree through New Vista or tutoring for a UCI Certificate also through New Vista(More Details)

Students who would like to obtain an associates degree from Saddleback College can choose from the list below.

What is an articulation?

Students learn Saddleback courses right here at New Vista with the approved syllabus.

Credits are obtained from Saddleback directly based on performance at the New Vista Career Academy.

What certificates are Offered?

Software Specialist Certificate

This Software Specialist Certificate program is designed to obtain the knowledge and technical skills required to qualify for entry-level positions in a technical work environment. The course is specifically intended and structured for students with special needs to obtain skills for technical jobs using industry standard software packages that are widely used in our modern work environments.

Web Designer Certificate

The Web Designer Certificate program is designed for students to obtain the knowledge and technical skills required to develop and manage websites for businesses, information management, blogging, and other online media through an innovative course structure that benefits students with special needs. This course covers the knowledge and tools to reach the desired audience. Technical skills include designing using appropriate software packages, developing the website with database management and obtaining necessary basic programming skills.

E-Commerce Specialist Certificate

This program is specifically designed for English learners and students with special needs to obtain the knowledge and technical skills for a technical job as an E-Commerce specialist to promote a business on the web, using websites and marketing strategies, information analysis and the ability to manage business sectors that include retail, customer service, government, private organizations, and personal media.

Application Developer

The Computer Programming certificate program is designed for an entry-level position as a software developer for students with special needs to obtain the necessary skills to qualify for such positions with proficiency in developing and maintaining industry-standard software packages and the most used programming languages.

Webmaster Certificate

The Webmaster Certificate program is specially designed to obtain qualifications for an entry-level webmaster job for students with special needs through an innovative structured course. Students learn from the basics of developing and setting up a website from production to managing the web server efficiently. They also learn database administration, network security and the use of web analytics tools to manage information for various business sectors including government, organizations, and startups.

Each student will receive help in transitioning to additional education, an internship, or a job upon completion of individual goals

According to the Bureau of Labor, there is a projected 30% growth in the number of jobs in some sectors of the Computer Science fields. With wages averaging $90,530 per year

You can take online classes for some courses from Saddleback college and get guidance at New Vista.

Most certificates have all the courses articulated with the New Vista Career Academy.

So you can complete all the courses for those certificates right from New Vista.

Tutoring for Santiago Canyon College

Students can take online classes for college credit and/or certificates through Santiago Canyon College and get guidance from right here in New Vista.

Coming Soon – Credits: Apart from tutoring, we are currently working on getting an articulation approval with Santiago Canyon College for certificate courses, so students can get credits right from New Vista.
